Iron Fist Clothing revealed their Spring/Summer capsule collection entitled “Super Bitches” and it’s pretty dope! It features pin-up styled artwork of superheroines and villains. The LA based clothing label collaborated with artist Lora Zombie to create this comic inspired print. It showcases fierce and empowered super-women and I completely approve.

The term “bitch” can sometimes carry a heavy sexist negativity along with it. I think it’s pretty clear that Iron Fist Clothing is using the term to celebrate strong, badass women. Just because I approve of this print/line, doesn’t mean there isn’t a long line of women that completely disagree with me. I will agree that it might be a little risqué for some but the concept is supposed to be empowering.
How do you feel about this new Spring/Summer print? Do you think it’s objectifying or brilliant?
