print sprinkles

Iron Fist Clothing revealed their Spring/Summer capsule collection entitled “Super Bitches” and it’s pretty dope! It features pin-up styled artwork of superheroines and villains. The LA based clothing label collaborated with artist Lora Zombie to create this comic inspired print. It showcases fierce and empowered super-women and I completely approve.

The term “bitch” can sometimes carry a heavy sexist negativity along with it. I think it’s pretty clear that Iron Fist Clothing is using the term to celebrate strong, badass women. Just because I approve of this print/line, doesn’t mean there isn’t a long line of women that completely disagree with me.  I will agree that it might be a little risqué for some but the concept is supposed to be empowering.

How do you feel about this new Spring/Summer print? Do you think it’s objectifying or brilliant?

5 things i’ve learned from Space Ghost.

space ghost

It’s safe to say that Space Ghost is one of my favorite superheroes. When he had his own weekly 15-minute talk show, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, it completed me. If anyone deserved a talk show it would definitely be Space Ghost.

Space Ghost was the most bizarre and perfect talk show host ever. To this day, I wish a screen dropped down from my ceiling and I could just talk to any celebrity I wished. Even though he would sometimes get caught up with talking about his favorite television shows and what he had for breakfast, he always did an amazing job interviewing his guests. I feel like he didn’t get enough credit for the excellent job that he did. Yeah…he had to take a time out from time to time to battle with Zorak but who cares? He deserves way more credit than he received.

With all of this said, I am going to share five life lessons Space Ghost Coast to Coast taught me:

❤ If hang out with a Praying Mantis, he more than likely will explode into flames ALL of the time.

❤ Teleportion is more important and necessary than we think it is.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force hung out with Space Ghost before they were cool.

❤ Anyone can have a successful talk show.

❤ An interview with Bjork and Thom Yorke is as strange as you would imagine it to be.

The point I am trying to get to is, we NEED more Space Ghost Coast to Coast! It’s what the world is missing and it’s so necessary. Who is with me? Should we riot?!
