I am quite the regular on The other day while opening my daily e-mail, I almost fainted due to the amount of fabulosity of the shoes that were listed. The shoes that I fell in love with were custom designed heels by TaylorSays. I am all for any article of clothing that gets you noticed and these pumps will do just that.

Taylor is from southern California and has been an artist since she was teeny tiny. She looks for any chance to make something more beautiful than it already is with her art. She has hand painted on almost everything in her path and boy, are we lucky. Her taste and style is very vibrant and eccentric. The more you learn about me the more you will know, I am nothing but vibrant and eccentric. Taylor’s style has a large variety of influences but she has definitely made her mark as an individual artist. I totally have a girl crush.

How adorable are these devil heels? It’s impossible not to be a bad girl with shoes like this. IMPOSSIBLE! The bright red shade of Devilicious make the shoes pop and are a definite show stopper. While wearing these shoes I would imagine that you wouldn’t have to actually speak a single word to show how bad ass you really are. If you’re going to be edgy, do it properly…and get these shoes.

Then we have these beauties! I bring you, Royal Hearts. I’ve always had a thing for Alice in Wonderland inspired everything. These shoes SCREAM wonderland adventure. I sort of have an obsession with turquoise and hearts, which basically means I am in love with this flirty footwear.

I can not get enough of all of these colors. The style is street graffiti meets pop art with a lot of Taylor’s personal style. She has worked with several companies within the action sports community such as Quicksilver and SkullCandy just to name a couple. Being that she dealt with a lot of sports, it’s completely refreshing and exciting to see how brilliant she pulls off these sexy heels.

TaylorSays makes it necessary to kick your heels up, literally! The vibrant colors invite you to celebrate being different and fun. Both, her Debut collection and Spring 2013 collection were designed for the lady that is the life of the party. I mean, you would have to be “stand out in the crowd” type to own a pair. Sadly, I missed the massive sale on of these custom pieces of art but I do plan on landing my first pair in the near future. Definitely take the time to go look at her website and fall in love.

Happy 100th Post!

Friday, March 29th, 2013

In my personal life, this post could not have come at a better time. It’s crazy to think I am already 100 posts into Sprinkles and Booze AND my six month blog anniversary is next month. Where does the time go?

I used the series of photos posted above because they are pictures of me and my most natural of states. It’s for the most part what i’ve looked like for the past two days. Sexy, huh? I have been a complete bundle of lack of motivation and not knowing where to start on projects. Motivation is a tricky beast and it goes and comes as it pleases.

To kick start my motivation, I figured it would be best to mentally explore the tips and tricks that I like to use in order to kick start my motivation for the action packed weekend I have ahead of me. The secret to most of my motivation is I always do what I love. It’s almost impossible not to be motivated when you’re doing something you’re passionate about. I am passionate about helping others, creating, and looking for beauty in the world around me. As soon as I decided this was going to be the topic of my post today, ideas and inspiration started to flow. It’s the natural flow of the universe. Think about it. If you’re struggling with something that you’re doing, it might be a sign that you’re not meant to be doing it. You have to listen to your gut! It’s something I had to learn for myself after years of wasting time doing things I didn’t love.

So, I mentioned there was a lack of motivation the last couple of days, right? Even if I am doing something I am passionate about, it is VERY possible to hit a little plateau and feel like it’s difficult to get your groove back. We all have these moments. These are the moments when we sit around and watch endless amount of Netflix and eat everything in your home involving sugar and feel sorry for yourself. Well ladies and gentlemen, we all need to learn to not give in to these moments. If I learned anything from the last couple of days, it’s that giving in to being unmotivated only makes matters worse. Being unmotivated is exactly the reason why I am writing this post. I am doing something about it and getting motivated and already feel better.

I am sure this wouldn’t surprise a lot of you, but when I have these moments I refer to it as “Making an appointment with my motivational speaking unicorn”. It’s when you snap out of it and realize there is work to be done and you do it. We tend to get side tracked by the influence of others or sometimes it’s just simple laziness. Whatever got you to that point of, “I don’t want to” can easily be fixed once you realize, “I am wasting time and there is life to live”.

Which brings me to the moral of the story…get started. Even if it’s something small like writing out your thoughts or working on something for a few minutes a day. It makes the biggest difference. I’m super jazzed that this is my 100th post. It shows the fruits of my labor and so many more great things are cookin’ up! Be sure to stay tuned, beautiful bunnies. Thank you for being a part of my little piece of the internet.

What do you like to do when you’re unmotivated? Do you have a secret magical motivational speaking unicorn in your closet?

Stay sexy, Gotham!

Kiss me, I’m an Aries!

Tuesday, March 26th, 2013

Yep! It’s that magical day of the year where I get loads of beautiful messages, gifts, phone calls, and love. Those that know me, know that I am simply in LOVE with my birthday. The date March 26th is actually a pretty popular day to have been born. In my personal circle of friends, I have 9, yes 9 friends with the same exact birthday as myself. I like to joke around and say things like “We must be the chosen. You know, for when doomsday happens”. It’s just so weird that so many people have come into my life that were born on the same day. To make matters even weirder, I come into contact with new people ALL of the time with the same birthday. We are the doomsday warriors.

Earlier today I was talking to my lovely blogcadette friend, Anita. She is another fellow Aries Goddess. She wrote this brilliant post about wanting to hang out with her celebrity birthday twin, Reese Witherspoon. Are you wondering who my celebrity twins are? I literally gush about them every year.

The lovely original Diva herself, Diana Ross.

Rock n’ Roll God, Steven Tyler.

If I were to party with my celebrity twins, it would be a HELL of a fabulous and sparkly celebration. This year I decided to celebrate in a low key manner in Manhattan. It was full of food, drinks, laughs and titty tassels.

I started my birthday celebration with an Aries themed brunch at Yerba Buena with Brittany and the gang. We all ate, drank unlimited brunch cocktails and had a ton of silly conversations. It was the perfect start to the day.

For dessert (yes, you can have dessert to your brunch), I met up with blogcadettes Islandia, Angela, and Charlotte. We met at Sweet Revenge for a brief but necessary gathering. We ate cupcakes, drank booze, and made small talk. I adore these ladies and it was our first time seeing each other since Blogcademy. They filled my heart with glitter and sunshine.

Sadly, I had to cut the meeting short with my blogger lady friends to run off to Ippudo for some ramen and friendly faces. A couple of friends and myself stuffed our faces until I thought I was going to pass out. After dinner we headed over to the Slipper Room for some burlesque greatness. My favorite part of the evening was getting groped by the burlesque host on stage. It was classic and perfect. Low key and exactly what I needed. I didn’t want to go insane with the planning and partying this year. Next year I will be the big 3-0 which means shit is going to get insane.

We Aries can be a handful on a typical day and earlier this morning I was asked how does one “land” a powerhouse Aries. I made a very small but useful list for those that are trying to charm your way into the hearts and pants of a fire-y Aries.

We like funny and witty. If you can make us laugh on a regular then it’s pretty much a done deal.

We love sparkle! Impress us by covering yourself in glitter and standing in the middle of a room and pretending you’re a disco ball.

Surprise us! I haven’t met an Aries that hates surprises. Plan a unique and different outting and take us out on the town in your own special way.

Make us feel special. We take notice. If you remember special dates(anniversaries, birthdays, etc.) or our favorite movies, we will love you. We live for that shit. We like to know we are important.

Last evening I had a brilliant conversation with a friend that i’ve know for all of my 20’s. It was one of those conversations where everything just clicked and I realized that we were on the same wave length. It was so good and such a great way to start my birthday. It definitely made me realize how blessed and honored I am to have such great people in my life. It’s impossible for me to express how much I appreciate all of your support and faith in me.

As I sit here listening to Radiohead and eating a cupcake, I can say I am truly happy. There is no other reason to exist than to live your purpose and be completely joyful. I feel so lucky and wonderful. I wake up everyday and feel an overwhelming positive and supportive energy from my entourage of fabulous. I live day to day as if it’s my birthday. I would like to give a massive THANK YOU to all of you and the universe.

Keep it sexy, Gotham!
