Boston Sprinkles and Booze

Yesterday, a good friend of mine contacted me to ask if I heard about the events that took place in Boston. At this point, I hadn’t and it was not even 10 minutes after the bombing had taken place. Quickly, I put on the television and as I turned it on, I knew it was going to be something that was simply going to make me ask “Why?”.

As the news developed and social media buzzed, I was having an emotional roller coaster of overwhelming feelings. It went from anger, to sadness, to hope, and finally an overwhelming need to spread love. I literally cried watching videos of people help one another and reading all of the helpful retweets on Twitter and messages on Facebook.

Sadly, we have grown used to tragic events. I will never understand those that deny being connected in any way shape or form to terror attacks, mass shootings, or any awful event that takes the lives of innocent people. We are all connected and it is a part of us all.

With this connection, we all need to help and love one another even more. It is the only way to overcome such hate and unspeakable evil because the reality is, there is always more good but we need to work harder to have it outshine the dark.

I am wishing you all love and strength.
